Curious about Austin? Stay, play and SLAY in The Live Music Capital of the World during Austin’s Pride week from August 18 to 26. Riding on the Visit Austin and Time Out New York float, we saw it all, from scores of supporters outside the Stonewall Inn to a concert from Austin award-winning Latin-folk singer and LGBTQ advocate Gina Chavez, accompanied by bandmates in drag.
The community waved rainbow flags high as they marched down Fifth Avenue, and we were there for it. On Sunday, June 25, the biggest Gay Pride event in NYC-the Pride March-took over Manhattan.
